Last August, the DOJ produced a scathing report about the state of law enforcement in Baltimore, finding that BPD routinely violated the First and Fourth Amendments and federal anti-discrimination laws, using enforcement strategies that unlawfully and disproportionately subject African Americans to stops, searches, arrests, excessive force, and retaliation. Learn more about the report here.

In early January, Baltimore City and the DOJ signed a consent decree, committing our city to implementing police reform. We hope this will mark a turning point in how police operate in our city. Come learn about this process and our police accountability work at this event.
