Baltimore Green & Just

The amazing Baltimore folks who put together this little book for their huge community

Welcome to the online home of the Baltimore Green & Just Celebrations guide! Thanks to our dedicated committee (right) and you for helping us make 5772 the year we brought this remarkable resource to Baltimore!

Throughout Jewish Baltimore, dozens of organizations have come together to create the local version of what has been coined in other communities as "a little book with a big mission.” The Baltimore Green & Just Celebrations Guide helps families in our area make their special day a treasured memory, shared with loved ones, and exemplified by Jewish values. Learn more about making conscientious spending decisions while balancing cost against impact on the world.

The cover page of Baltimore's booklet

Our Green & Just Celebrations is a booklet that offers specific suggestions for how families can make purchasing choices that are mindful of workers’ rights and environmental impact. The book is illustrated throughout with Jewish teachings, and with the real-life stories of families who made creative green and just choices for their own celebrations.

As our JUFJ base grows in Baltimore, we want this resource accessible to Baltimore's Jewish community. Read the guide here as a downloadable PDF.
