Jewish Learning for Jewish Action: Tisha B'Av

Park Heights JCC, 5700 Park Heights Avenue, Baltimore MD

On Tisha B'Av we reflect on the destruction of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem and remember many other tragedies in the history of our people, both ancient and recent.

On this saddest day of the year, as we reflect on our inability to coexist in community, JUFJ Baltimore is hosting a Jewish education event, facilitated by Rabbi Mike Moskowitz of Uri L'Tzedek.

Rabbi Moskowitz has been engaged in Jewish outreach and education for fifteen years, and is a vocal advocate for inclusivity, LGBT rights, and social justice. He will lead us in a discussion about balancing solo and collective contributions to society.

Please join us for this discussion and study session on Tuesday, August 1st from 7:00 until 8:30 PM. We will meet in the community room at the Park Heights JCC, 5900 Park Heights Avenue.

Because Tisha B'Av is a day of fasting, JUFJ will not be providing refreshments at this event.
