JUFJ Community Meeting
Over the past 14 years, what started as a small group of dedicated volunteers has flourished into an organization that has successfully built real power in the Washington DC region. Because of your passion and dedication, JUFJ has fought for higher wages, affordable housing, and immigrant rights. You've helped us become a leading Jewish voice for equality and justice in our city and region.
We are at a very exciting moment for JUFJ.
Come out and join your fellow JUFJers at our community meeting to hear about and share all of the great work you've been doing and learn how you can help lead us to more victories.
We'll have program updates on our campaigns and programs in Maryland and DC, mingle with some of the finest activists and leaders in town, and strategize together on how JUFJ can grow stronger and win.
And, of course, we'll be serving a light vegetarian dinner.
JUFJ Community Meeting
Everyone is invited to join us on Wednesday July 20th, 6:30-9pm, for our community meeting. We'll gather to hear about JUFJ's work over the last several months, learn how to get involved in current projects, and come together as a community! We'll provide a light dinner (vegetarian and kosher). RSVP here.
Membership Meeting
JUFJ's summer membership meeting will be the evening of Tuesday, July 27 at 7pm at SEIU 32BJ's new office at 1025 Vermont Ave, NW, 7th floor.
The membership meeting is open to anyone who wants to come and learn more about JUFJ!
At our membership meeting, we'll be cooking up justice! Workers from the Restaurant Opportunities Center will be joining JUFJ to share their stories and their amazing talents. We'll learn how to make easy and vegetarian summer spring rolls - local, easy, and perfect for days that are too hot to cook.
Join Jews United for Justice at our Spring 2009 Membership Meeting!
At JUFJ's spring membership meeting, you can: take in a puppet show about wage theft, take action to protect affordable housing in Langley Park's "International Corridor," learn how your congregation can honor workers this Labor Day, hear about upcoming JUFJ programs, from a book launch all about Jewish Justice to a fellowship that will build your activist credentials, and meet other new and longtime members of JUFJ.
Be sure to join us at 6:30 for dinner to schmooze with our new staff: Program Director Rabbi Elizabeth Richman and Labor on the Bimah Coordinator Shira Dickler!
Membership meetings are an opportunity for new and longtime JUFJ members to meet, mingle, learn, take action, and get inspired to dig deeper into JUFJ's work of tikkun ha'ir/repairing our city. Please join us: light dinner at 6:30pm; meeting begins at 7pm
