JUFJ is honored each year to host AVODAH Corps Members, young adults ages 21-26, who spend a year in the Jewish Service Corps working to fight poverty. During their year of service, participants live and study together, and have full-time jobs working for justice, while forming a community of people making a connection between social activism and Jewish life.
JUFJ’s AVODAH Corps Member community organizers serve as full members of our staff and play a huge and crucial role in our campaigns and community building. We provide in-depth mentoring and valuable skills. Click here to learn more and apply.
Working at JUFJ:
JUFJ works for a future where everyone has the resources they need and where all systematic oppression is a sad memory – and strives to be a workplace where those ideals are lived as best as possible in an imperfect world. We hire accordingly.
JUFJ is deeply committed to excellence in all of our work, and also to fostering a collaborative, collegial work environment that values work-life balance.
