JUFJ @ the Capital Jewish Museum’s Block Party

FreeThe Capital Jewish Museum is continuing their grand opening celebrations with a neighborhood block party and JUFJ is joining the fun! Kick off the Jewish New Year with live music and workshops from local band Minnush, pop-up programs and social justice activities hosted by community partners, wares by artisans & makers, food trucks, a beer & wine garden, and more!
Minnush combines traditional Sephardic songs with contemporary elements of American folk, funk and jazz, creating serious, joyful, relevant, and fresh music.

JUFJ is honored to join tabling organizations including 1882 Foundation, Angry Millennial, Bread for the City, Capital Stitch Co., Catalyst Hot Dogs, Casey Trees, City-State Brewing Co., ConnectJew, Edlavitch DCJCC’s Center for Social Responsibility, Fox Prints, HIAS, Holy Rosary Church’s Scalabrini Outreach of DC, Interfaith Power & Light DMV, National Building Museum, Schneider’s of Capitol Hill, Sixth & I, Soultarian, Street Sense Media, Theater J, and Tovavi Fresh Falafel at this event.
Action
We will be assembling hygiene kits to donate to Thrive DC for neighbors in need. Please consider contributing items from their Amazon Wish List to support this project.
Logistics
- The event takes place on F Street between 2nd and 3rd Streets NW, next to the Museum.
- Admission to the Block Party requires all attendees to reserve a free ticket in advance.
- Admission to the Museum is limited, advance reservations are encouraged, please plan accordingly:
