Join JUFJ and District 14 residents as we meet with our state representatives to discuss our agenda for the 2019 session of the Maryland General Assembly. We will spend the first hour getting to know each other and the issues, 90 minutes with the legislators, and then close with a short evaluation. This event is being held at the home of a District 14 JUFJer and you will receive the address upon sign up.

Annapolis Lobby Night

Each year* we go to Annapolis to meet with our state legislators and let them know about the issues we care about: cash bail reform, rent court reform, strengthening the Maryland Dream Act, and raising the minimum wage. Join us for the most powerful night of the year for our Maryland advocacy!

Buses will leave Rockville, Silver Spring and Baltimore City at 5pm.
Children and teens are encouraged to attend.

*Usually we lobby right around Purim, but this year is a Jewish leap year and Purim isn’t until March. We will have another event in March to deliver gift baskets and check back in with our legislators!

Sine Die: the Last Day of the Maryland General Assembly Session

Join us at the Maryland Statehouse to celebrate Sine Die: the last day of the 2018 Maryland General Assembly session! We'll get dinner at a nearby restaurant at 6 pm, then watch from the gallery as the final bills are debated in the Maryland legislature. Stay as long as you want! When everything wraps up at midnight, we'll grab a drink with the die-hard few who are still there, and head home.
