Fix the Broken Heart Budget

Under a truly just tax code, taxes are how communities can act collectively to make sure everyone’s basic needs are met and everyone is paying their fair share. But Mayor Bowser’s proposed budget for next year would cut vital lifelines for residents who are struggling to make ends meet while allowing a tax cut for multi-millionaire commercial property owners.

Take action with our partners in the Fair Budget Coalition to tell the DC Council that rental assistance, housing for individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness, and cash for workers who were excluded from federal COVID aid are critical needs; tax cuts for millionaires aren’t.
