Joanna Blotner joined the JUFJ staff in February 2015 after a few years of engaging with the organization as a volunteer. She manages the Campaign for DC Paid Family Leave and the Birth to Three for All DC Campaign, of which JUFJ is an anchor organization, and serves as the Montgomery County field organizer with our sister organization, the Jews United for Justice Campaign Fund.

A lifelong faith-based advocate, Joanna has previously served as the Policy Manager at the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice, the Religion and Faith Program Coordinator at the Human Rights Campaign, and as a Legislative Assistant at the Religious Action Center for Reform Judaism. Joanna was born in DC and brought up in Montgomery County and feels very fortunate to be advancing justice and dignity for workers in her home communities.

Joanna uses she/her/hers pronouns.
