Lilah Pomerance, a native Washingtonian, was a founding Board Member of JUFJ’s 501(c)4 sister organization, the JUFJ Campaign Fund. A lifelong activist, she has spent years working on the national level organizing around progressive issues. She is currently Chief of Staff for Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal (WA-07), the Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus.
Previously, Lilah worked as the Chief of Campaigns at the Center for Popular Democracy, executing issue campaigns at the local, state, and federal levels and building the organization’s federal advocacy program. From 2009 to 2017, she served in several senior roles at SEIU, including managing the intergovernmental affairs team and helping to create and lead a national program to influence federal policy outcomes by mobilizing members and utilizing innovative organizing tools. Prior to joining SEIU, Lilah worked in the Office of Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and on two presidential campaigns. She lives in Adams Morgan with her husband Dan Gordon, three kids (Noa, Eyal, and Asher), and their cat, Colt.
