MILLIE LANDISDC COMMUNITY ORGANIZER AND AVODAH CORPS MEMBER

Millie is thrilled to join the JUFJ team as a member of the Avodah Service Corps. She attended American University where she earned honors in Public Health and a minor in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality studies as well as a certificate in Leadership and Ethical Development. Millie completed research with the university on regional HIV policy during the pandemic as well as independent research on anti-fat bias in public health higher education. Throughout college Millie interned for the National Council of Jewish Women as the Government Relations and Advocacy Intern and for American University Hillel as the Social Justice Programming Intern. She is passionate about women’s health equity, vaccines for all, and combatting anti-fat bias.

Millie is an avid outdoors-person and spends the summers working as a wilderness trip leader and swim instructor for a girls’ camp in Maine. She loves to read, craft, cook, and try new foods.
