Rachel joined JUFJ in 2021 as a Baltimore community organizer. She primarily supports local work focused in Baltimore City and County. Rachel previously worked most deeply in the area of community organizing as a Leadership Organizer for the United Workers Association. In this position, she was the lead organizer of the Baltimore Housing Roundtable, a coalition that was founded and grew to 20 organizational members under her leadership. Through this work, she organized and led two successful ballot initiative campaigns, resulting in the $20 million Affordable Housing Trust Fund. Most recently, she served as the Community School Coordinator at Tench Tilghman Elementary/Middle School.
Rachel was raised in the area and attended Krieger Schechter Day School in Pikesville. She currently lives in Northeast Baltimore with her husband, daughter Nora, dog, and four chickens. Rachel enjoys hiking and riding horses for fun.
