SHIRA WOLKENFELDPROGRAM ASSOCIATE, COLLABORATIVE FOR JEWISH ORGANIZING

Originally hailing from Berkeley, CA, Shira recently graduated from the George Washington University with a degree in Middle East Studies and minors in Arabic and Geography. While in school, Shira served on the J Street U national student board and as a co-chair of J Street U at GWU. Previously, Shira interned at the Aspen Institute and worked as a youth group director and 5th grade religious school teacher at Congregation Adas Israel. Shira was an Avodah Corps Member and Montgomery County Organizer with JUFJ from 2019-2020, and is thrilled to be back at JUFJ as the Program Associate for the Collaborative for Jewish Organizing.

Shira can usually be found with iced coffee in hand and a few spare books in her bag. In her free time, Shira enjoys cooking, playing SET, and spending time outdoors.
