Whitney Porter joined the JUFJ team in 2020 as the Director of Finance & Administration. In this role, she is working to strengthen financial management and build the systems and processes for the organization to grow and thrive.

Before joining JUFJ, Whitney worked as the Director of Operations & Finance for a voter registration focused civic engagement non-profit. In her role, she managed all things finance around national voter registration efforts, internal operations management, grant development/maintenance, and harassing people about doing their dishes before they left town for weeks on end. Whitney has worked in government affairs since graduating from Georgetown University in 2007 with a degree in Government and Jewish Civilizations and began her civic engagement work with Rock the Vote in 2008.

In addition to her work, Whitney serves as the board chair for the Alliance of Youth Organizing and is a senior leader in her church community. She can regularly be found photographing family sessions all over DC and enjoys all things dance, musicals, picture books, and penguins. She resides in the Brookland neighborhood of Washington, DC with her husband.
