Tzedek Organizing Training

JUFJers with signs in Annapolis, text overlaid: "Tzedek Organizing Training"

Many Jews are committed to pursuing economic, racial, and social justice here in our region, grounded in the biblical command “tzedek tzedek tirdof / justice, justice you shall pursue.” But how, in practical terms, do we pursue justice? What do we actually do to move from the world as it is now to the world we want to live in?

Join JUFJ for our first ever Tzedek Organizing Training program, Sundays in September, 2024. This training series will teach you the fundamental skills of community organizing, from cultivating individual relationships to building across differences to create powerful coalitions. Along the way, we’ll examine the history of Jewish organizing, learn from successful local campaigns, practice constructing public narratives, and turn our study into action toward justice right here in DC and Maryland. If you are interested in participating, let us know below and we will be in touch. The deadline to register is Friday, August 30.
