Come to testify or to fill the chambers for a Montgomery County Council 2020 Budget Hearing! There will be 2 hearings on 2 different days. On April 9 at 7pm, and April 10 at 1:30pm. You can sign up for one or more of the hearings! The hearings will be held in the Third Floor Hearing Room. CHARM CITY delivers a candid portrait of citizens, police, community advocates, and government officials on the frontlines during three years of unparalleled, escalating violence in Baltimore. The film highlights the work of JUFJ partner Safe Streets, a community-based approach to ending street violence.
After the documentary there will be a panel discussion featuring Alex Long, a violence interrupter featured in the film, along with Montgomery County community advocates Brandy H. M. It will begin with a vigil at 6:00PM at Three Oaks Drive, near the corner of Sligo Creek Parkway in Silver Spring.
