As the DC Director of JUFJ, Yael supervises the DC organizing team, oversees campaigns, works with the DC Leadership Council, and maintains strong relationships with partners across the district. Yael also leads the DC work of our sister organization, the JUFJ Campaign Fund.

Before joining JUFJ, Yael served as interim organizing and executive director for DC Jobs with Justice; coordinated the largest higher education coalition in New York; and worked on the Jews Against White Nationalism project, which organized Jews and allies against the far right and antisemitism during the 2020 election. Originally from London (United Kingdom), Yael is a lifelong Jewish community organizer from helping found the UK’s first Jewish LGBTQ+ advocacy organization, to organizing the UK Jewish community to support the rights of refugees.

When not at work, Yael can be found rock climbing, playing or watching football (the English kind), hosting Shabbat dinners or playing music with their housemates.

Yael uses they/them/theirs pronouns.
